If you’ve spent even a few minutes with Women Golf The World, you’ve probably noticed her. That little orange bird keeps turning up – beside a headline, near a button, tucked into a page, or flying across one of our visual stories.
So what’s up with the orange bird?
She isn’t there simply because she’s cute. She has become a small visual reminder of what Women Golf The World is about: movement, freedom, curiosity, connection and the idea that golf can carry us somewhere we may never have imagined going. Golf has always been more than eighteen holes for us. It can be the reason we book the ticket, pack the clubs, meet someone new, cross a border, try a food we cannot pronounce, wander down a street we didn’t know existed, or discover a place that stays with us long after the scorecard is gone.
The bird fits that spirit perfectly. She doesn’t sit still. She moves.
And that is exactly what we want Women Golf The World to do – encourage women to keep moving, exploring, asking questions and discovering what waits beyond the fairways.
You’ll see the orange bird throughout our stories and destination pages as a kind of editorial signature. Sometimes she points you toward something worth discovering. Sometimes she simply reminds you that there is more ahead.
Maybe that’s why I like her so much. She feels optimistic without trying too hard. A little independent. A little adventurous. And always on her way somewhere.
Which, come to think of it, sounds a lot like the women we created Women Golf The World for.
